ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Northern Tasmania Campaigner contributes to the Wilderness Society’s strategic focus on empowering the community to influence corporate and government decision-makers, while reducing the power of sectors and industries driving the destruction and degradation of Australia’s unique biodiversity.
The role involves working collaboratively with peers to iterate campaign strategies, develop tactics, build and demonstrate community power, engage with alliances, shape narratives, undertake research, and influence decision-makers and other targets across corporate, government, and community domains. This includes establishing and strengthening dialogue with First Nations for all aspects of our campaigns, including identification of opportunities for collaboration.
