What is on Offer
The City of Kwinana isseeking enthusiastic Casual Youth Officers to join our ArclightInitiative. Reporting to the Arclight Coordinator, this rolefacilitates the delivery of the Arclight Initiative.
What is the Arclight Initiative
TheArclight initiative is a holistic wraparound service grounded inthe Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) framework, designedto support children and adolescents through trauma-informedcare.
By building trust and fostering strong mentoring relationships,the ARC framework creates meaningful opportunities for learning andpersonal growth.
The goal is to raise school attendance, reduce suspensions,divert from crime and anti-social behaviours and increaseopportunities for sustained successes in life
Please note: The ordinary hours of work forthis position shall be worked up to within a ten (10) hour spreadbetween commencement and completion on any shift Monday to Sunday.Days of work may be subject to change due to operationalrequirements.

What You Will Need
- Experience in working with vulnerable or at-risk youngpeople
- Experience in youth program planning, development anddelivery, youth centre drop-in supervision, or a similarrole
- Well-developed working knowledge of social issues thatimpact young people, as well as both Indigenous and CaLDculture and related impacts for young people in urbansettings.
- Sound analytical, report writing, data collection andcomputer literacy skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolutionskills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Tertiary qualification in youth work or similar, orsignificant experience in a related field.
- Driver’s Licence, Police Clearance, Working with ChildrenCheck, Provide First Aid Certificate and ability to work afterhours and weekends
