About The Role
This is a Fixed Term Position until 18 December 2026
Looking to apply your technical studies in a real-world environment? As an Intern – DataOps Officer, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting data pipelines, cloud-based infrastructure and automation within the Department of Transport and Planning. Working alongside experienced data and technology professionals, you'll contribute to projects that improve how data is managed, integrated and delivered across transport systems.
What we’re looking for
- An interest in data, technology and continuous improvement
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Basic understanding of data concepts and data quality
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
Qualifications And Experience
- Current enrolment in a relevant tertiary qualification in a STEM field
- Knowledge of orchestrating different data pipelines for value delivery and innovation or exploration
- Technical knowledge of configuration as code in data product environments and developing scripts or templates
