Recruiting enrolled nurses/registered nurses/psychologists/mental health clinicians for the position of TMS Clinician at The MPC TMS clinics in Brighton, Sandringham and Springvale.

Are you passionate for mental health care and looking to make a significant impact in patients' lives? We are pleased to announce exciting opportunities available for Enrolled or Registered Nurses or TMS clinicians at The Melbourne Psychiatry Centre.

As an TMS technician, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of The Melbourne Psychiatry Centre for delivering a cutting-edge neurostimulation treatment for mental health conditions. You will be part of a dedicated team, providing compassionate care and support to patients undergoing TMS therapy.

In this role, you will be given education, training, and ongoing supervision about TMS. This outpatient treatment is non-invasive, the patient is completely alert during the procedure and an anaesthetic is not required. Your responsibilities will include onboarding patients referred for TMS, administering TMS treatments, closely monitoring patients' progress, and collaborating with our team of experienced psychiatrists and psychologists. You will play a crucial part in the patient's journey towards improved mental well-being.

Primary Responsibilities

- Provide information about TMS to patients and support them during assessment process.
- Administer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy to patients suffering from chronic depression and other psychiatric disorders.
- Maintain clinical case notes and prepare weekly reports.
- Administer psychometric tests to evaluate treatment outcomes.
- Participate actively in clinical case meetings and ongoing training sessions.
- Report any treatment-related adverse effects of treatment.

Qualifications and Skills

- Hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or be eligible for registration.
- Possess a tertiary degree in psychology, nursing, or any other health-related field. Encouragement for Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to apply.
- Experience in the healthcare field, with interest in mental health.
- Display maturity, sensitivity, and empathy towards patients, emphasizing the delivery of high-quality care.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a conscientious approach to following procedures.
- Exhibit solid problem-solving abilities.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to work independently.
- Possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Show commitment to providing a positive, patient-centered care experience.
