To find out more visit our website at ** the Role**MSS Security is seeking professional, reliable and customer-focused Terminal Security Officers to join our team at Hobart International Airport.This role provides a visible security presence throughout the airport terminal and surrounding precinct, helping maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for passengers, staff and visitors.**Duties include:*** Conduct security patrols of the terminal, forecourt, aprons, airport roads and car parks.* Monitor and report security, safety and operational concerns.* Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents.* Apply effective verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques when responding to challenging or escalating behaviours.* Engage respectfully with passengers experiencing distress and provide first aid when required.* Maintain accurate security logs,
patrol records and incident reports.* Provide a professional and customer-focused security presence throughout the airport.**Ideal candidates will have:*** Confidence applying de-escalation techniques and managing challenging behaviour without unnecessarily escalating a situation.* Patience, empathy and the ability to communicate respectfully with vulnerable or distressed people.* Strong communication and customer service skills.* A professional presentation and reliable approach to work.* Previous experience in security, aviation, transport, mental health support or another public-facing operational workplace will be highly regarded.* Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.**Requirements:*** Full Australian working rights.* A current Tasmanian Security Agent Licence.* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.* Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).* Ability to undergo a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.**What we offer:*** Competitive rates and penalty rates.* Comprehensive training and ongoing development.* Uniform provided.* Opportunities for career progression within MSS Security.* The opportunity to work within a professional airport security environment.**Location:** Hobart International Airport, TAS
