As a NAB Graduate in Risk , you’ll gain hands‑on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment within your chosen stream. You’ll work on real projects, receive structured training and mentoring, complete meaningful work, and build strong connections with leaders and specialists across NAB.

You’ll also gain exposure to how NAB identifies, manages and responds to risk across the organisation, helping to protect customers, colleagues and the long‑term sustainability of the bank.

About Risk

Risk plays a critical role across every part of NAB and the environment in which we operate. Our teams help maintain strong risk governance and frameworks, from Board level through to day‑to‑day business activities.

By providing risk insights, oversight and advice, Risk supports NAB’s resilience, sustainability and customer outcomes. We help our people do the right thing — balancing strong customer experiences with the right risks, controls and returns to support long‑term success.

What you’ll do in Risk

Throughout the graduate program, you’ll gain exposure to a range of risk disciplines and work closely with teams across the bank. You’ll have opportunities to:

- Learn about different risk types and risk functions across NAB and the broader financial services industry
- Analyse risks, controls, compliance obligations, incidents and change initiatives to identify gaps and opportunities
- Develop risk data and analytical skills, including risk reporting,



stress testing and scenario modelling
- Partner with teams across NAB to provide specialist risk support and advice
- Build an understanding of NAB’s Risk Ways of Working
- Contribute to the development of policies and frameworks that support sound risk management
- Promote a robust and positive risk culture across the organisation

Locations

Graduate roles in Risk are primarily based in Melbourne and Sydney .

Program Start Date

The 2028 NAB Graduate Program commences in February 2028.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, you must:

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizenship or be an Australian Permanent Resident at the time of applying.
- Have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the past three years (2025, 2026 or 2027) or be due to complete it by the commencement of the program.
