Lead the commissioning of major data centre projects across Sydney

We are looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to join a growing building services and controls organisation delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across Sydney .

This is a senior position where you will take ownership of the commissioning process from planning and coordination through to final handover, working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams to ensure systems are delivered, tested and commissioned to the highest standards.

The Role

As Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Leading the commissioning of BMS, controls and building services systems across major data centre projects.
- Developing and managing commissioning plans, procedures, schedules and documentation.
- Coordinating commissioning activities with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors and specialist vendors.
- Managing functional performance testing, integrated systems testing and final commissioning.
- Identifying and resolving commissioning issues, defects and technical challenges.
- Ensuring commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
- Working closely with clients and consultants throughout the commissioning and handover process.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to commissioning engineers and technicians.
- Supporting project teams throughout the testing,



validation and handover phases.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager / Commissioning Lead / Senior Commissioning Engineer .
- Strong experience working on data centres, mission-critical facilities or other complex building services projects .
- A strong understanding of BMS, HVAC controls and building services systems .
- Experience managing commissioning activities across multiple stakeholders and contractors.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies, testing procedures and project documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to lead teams and take ownership of complex commissioning programmes.
- Australian working rights and the ability to work across Sydney-based projects.
