About Our School
St Francis Xavier is a Catholic, co-educational P-6 school with an enrolment of over 470 students, situated in the City of Ipswich, adjacent to the Ipswich Motorway. The school has been in existence for more than 100 years, having been established in 1910. It is a school which has welcomed children and families from many countries around the world. Over forty nationalities are represented. We are proud of the way that our community blends the best from these cultures to develop and reflect the motto of the school: “Kids Who Care”. At St Francis Xavier School, we pride ourselves on working together as a community for the benefit of our children. We have a strong belief that learning is a lifelong endeavour and that we can all learn from each other. About The Opportunity
- lead the religious life of the school and build a vibrant Catholic identity within the school community;
- grow the engagement, progress, achievement and wellbeing of each student in the school; and
- build a sustainable school community, ensuring stewardship of resources with transparency, accountability and compliance.
About You
- Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
- Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.
Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
- For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
