Reports To: Data & AI Solution Enablement Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AI Solution Designer to lead the design, governance, and architecture assurance of AI, Data, and Automation solutions across enterprise technology platforms.

This role is responsible for translating business opportunities into secure, scalable, and supportable solution designs while ensuring compliance with architecture, security, and governance standards. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, cyber security, infrastructure teams, and external partners to deliver build-ready solution designs for AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and document AI, Data, and Automation solutions.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical architectures.
- Produce High-Level Solution Designs (HLSDs) and Detailed Solution Designs (SDDs).
- Define integration patterns, operational support models, and technical standards.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and standards.

Architecture Governance & Design Assurance

- Prepare architecture documentation and governance submissions.
- Present solutions to Architecture Review Boards (ARB), Design Review Forums (DRF), and Cyber Security review committees.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend security controls.
- Support Safe & Secure by Design (SSBD) and AI governance requirements.

AI Platform Design

- AI Agents
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Platforms
- Power Platform
- Dataverse
- Generative AI Solutions

Cloud, Infrastructure & Security Design

- Design secure cloud-based AI solutions on Azure.
- Define networking, identity, access management, and data protection architectures.
- Map security controls and infrastructure dependencies.
- Support cyber security assessments and governance reviews.
- Develop reusable architecture patterns and standards.
- Establish integration, DevOps,



and AI platform best practices.
- Create reference architectures and implementation accelerators.

Stakeholder Engagement & Technical Leadership

- Facilitate technical workshops and architecture discussions.
- Partner with business, security, and technology stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership during project initiation and design phases.
- Support engineering teams with clear and build-ready solution documentation.

Required Experience & Skills

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Senior Solution Designer within large enterprise environments.
- Solid experience operating within architecture governance frameworks.
- Experience producing architecture artefacts and governance documentation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
- Hands-on architecture experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of:Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Cloud Security Controls
- Platform Governance
- Operational Support Models

Architecture & Governance Experience

Demonstrated experience creating:

- High-Level Solution Designs (HLSD)
- Solution Design Documents (SDD)
- Conceptual & Logical Architectures
- Architecture Review Board (ARB) submissions
- Design Review Forum (DRF) submissions
- Security Assessments

Experience with:

- Branching Strategies
- Pull Request Governance
- DevSecOps Controls
- Software Engineering Governance

AI & Data Technologies (Highly Desirable)
