Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is currently seeking proactive and reliable Handypersons to join our team in both Full-Time and Casual positions. These roles are essential in ensuring our resort remains well-presented, protected, and welcoming for both guests and team members.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a safe, well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike. As part of our team, you'll be the go-to person for repairs and maintenance, working across guest rooms, public areas, resort facilities, and back-of-house areas to ensure everything operates at its best.
n
Key Responsibilities Include
n
n
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and resort facilities
n
- Complete painting, patching, and minor refurbishment works as required
n
- Oversee and support external contractors when required
n
- Implement and maintain the property's preventative maintenance program
n
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues
n
- Keep accurate records of daily tasks, maintenance requests, and service schedules
n
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company policies and procedures
n
n
Position Details
n

- Full-Time and Casual opportunities available
n
- Flexible roster across seven days, including weekends and public holidays
n
- Additional hours may be available based on operational requirements
n
n
Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation)
n
Monday - Friday: $26.44 per hour
n Saturday: $33.05 per hour
n Sunday: $39.66 per hour
n
Qualifications
n
Successful applicants will have:
n
n
- Previous hands-on experience in building,
facilities, or property maintenance (12 months preferred but not essential)
n
- Previous painting experience highly regarded
n
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
n
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
n
- A genuine commitment to delivering high standards of service
n
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
n
- Trade qualifications or relevant licences will be highly regarded but are not essential
n
