The team provides strategic direction, governance oversight, and practical implementation of sustainability initiatives across CHQ clinical, corporate, and operational services. Through collaboration, innovation, and evidence‐based practice, the unit supports CHQ's commitment to environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and the delivery of high‐quality, sustainable healthcare for children and families.**About the Role**In this role you will coach and support others to deliver for children, young people and families (Leader of Others) in accordance with the *Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework* (PDF) and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values.
Your contribution will include:* Coordinate the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the CREST Plan 2025–2029 and associated sustainability programs, ensuring effective governance, performance reporting and delivery of strategic sustainability outcomes across CHQ.* Drive the development, implementation and evaluation of environmental sustainability initiatives, education programs and awareness activities that promote sustainable clinical and non-clinical waste management, resource recovery and circular economy principles across CHQ.* Provide high level advice and support in environmental audits, climate risk assessments and lead the implementation of mitigation and adaptation strategies to strengthen organisational sustainability, compliance and climate resilience.* Manage and provide strategic support to key environmental sustainability governance structures, including the CREST Action Group and CHQ Green Team, to drive organisational engagement, accountability and achievement of sustainability objectives.**About Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS)**Children's Health Queensland is a recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, teaching and research, delivering a full range of clinical services and training, tertiary and quaternary care and health promotion programs to children and young people from across Queensland and northern Recent South Wales.Our interprofessional workforce of more than 5,000 people deliver responsive,
