Opportunity to join a fantastic team and department in the position of Anaesthetist. This is a full time permanent post.

The Location

This is a friendly beachside city surrounded by National Parks. Sitting in a unique position where the Excellent Dividing Range escarpment meets the Australian East Coast this subtropical city lies between the forested hills and sparkling blue waters. With a population of around 70,000 this is known to the locals as a modern city with a small-town atmosphere. The city has well developed infrastructure including great schools, lots of options for shopping, eating out and recreation.

The Facility

Built in 2001 this is the major referral hospital for the region and provide a broad range of specialist services. With 292 beds, it provides the majority of specialist medical and surgical services for the Network.



Services include general medicine, surgery, day surgery, planned and emergency theatre service, coronary care (including coronary angiography unit), intensive care, obstetrics, paediatrics, 24-hour Emergency Department, oncology, palliative care, rehabilitation, stroke, acute renal dialysis, high dependency and mental health and an extensive range of outpatient clinics.

The Requirements

- AHPRA Specialist Registration
- FANZCA or soon to complete fellowship
- New Zealand Consultant experience or about to gain the ANZCA fellowship
- ANZCA assessed IMG's deemed Substantially Comparable
