Outreach Hearts | Newcastle & Surrounding Region

Outreach Hearts is seeking an experienced Senior Cardiac Sonographer to join our team on a casual basis, providing high-quality cardiac testing across Newcastle and the surrounding region.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys connecting with patients and is confident working independently while collaborating with our cardiologists and clinical team.

About the role

- Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms with accurate measurements and detailed preliminary reports.
- Perform stress echocardiography in collaboration with the supervising clinician.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care.
- Maintain high standards of imaging quality, documentation and clinical practice.
- Work across clinic locations within Newcastle and the surrounding region.

About you





- Current ASAR accreditation as a cardiac sonographer.
- Extensive experience in adult echocardiography, with solid technical skills and clinical judgement.
- Experience in stress echocardiography.
- Confidence managing a clinical list independently and recognising findings requiring prompt clinical review.
- Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between clinic locations.
