Water Corporation is seeking an experienced Analyst - Financial Performance to join our Group Financial Management team within Finance. In this role, you'll partner with business leaders across the organisation to deliver high-quality financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting services that support strategic decision-making and business performance. You'll play a key role in helping business units understand their financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure sound financial management practices across Water Corporation.

What The Role Will Involve

n

As an Analyst - Financial Performance, you'll support business leaders by providing financial insights and advice that help drive informed decisions and operational success.

n

Key Responsibilities Include

n

n
- Preparing and analysing monthly financial and business performance reports
n
- Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes across assigned business areas
n
- Monitoring financial performance and providing insights to support decision-making
n
- Partnering with stakeholders to provide financial advice and guidance
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve business performance and financial outcomes
n
- Reviewing capital investment proposals and assessing financial implications
n




- Ensuring compliance with Water Corporation's financial policies, standards and procedures
n
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and more efficient ways of working
n

n

Business performance

n

n
- Provide a comprehensive range of financial & accounting services within the assigned business areas, incorporating all budgeting, forecasting, business performance reviews, analysis and reporting.
n
- Preparation and analysis of monthly financial management reports and Business Performance Reports.
n
- Provide advice on finance and accounting issues as required.
n
- Undertake analysis, monitoring and reporting on financial performance of individual business areas, as required.
n
- Identify strategies for improvement in business performance in assigned business areas.
n
- Review and provide advice on capital investment proposals and the financial/commercial implications on business performance, as required.
n
- Provide guidance to Head of Business Units, Section Managers and other personnel on financial policies, processes and procedures to facilitate the effective operation of the Groups/BUs business.

Financial & Process Management

n

- Ensure compliance with Water Corporation's Financial Policies, Standards & Procedures.
n
- Contribute to the optimisation of Services Provided, Core Processes and Support Processes as defined in and in accordance with Water Corporation's accountabilities.
n

Key Skills And Experience

n

You are a proactive finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and using data and financial insights to influence business outcomes.

n

You Will Demonstrate





n

n
- Degree level qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
n
- Considerable experience in management accounting, financial analysis and business performance reporting in a multi-functional organisation
n
- Relevant experience in budgeting, forecasting and other financial management tasks
n
- Experience working with financial systems such as SAP FICO and other relevant modules
n
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office packages
n
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
n

n

Desirable Experience

n

The following experience will be highly regarded:

n

n
- Membership, or eligibility for membership, of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA or CA)
n
- Proficiency in financial modelling would be an added advantage
n
- Experience in large and complex organisations
n
- Experience driving process and system improvements
n
- Robust presentation and influencing skills
n
