Details: Black Mountain School is seeking a dynamic educator experienced in working with students with a moderate to severe intellectual disability within an interprofessional model of continuous improvement. This position includes a full SLC teaching load. It includes planned teaching and In-Built Relief (IBR). The successful applicant will demonstrate the skills and attributes to lead and embed a culture of continuous improvement. They will lead a team-oriented, improvement focused community of teachers and LSAs. This role is pivotal in establishing high-quality teaching and learning practices aligned with the ACT Education learning and Teaching Frameworks. As a part of their face to face teaching the successful applicant will have the knowledge and attributes to lead a complex classroom team. In-class shoulder to shoulder teaching, mentoring, flexibility, and coaching are key attributes of the successful School Leader C at Black Mountain School.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
- A minimum of four years full time (or equivalent)
tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification.
- Current professional teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) or eligibility to obtain TQI .
- Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -Apply for or renew a WWVP registration - Access Canberra

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
