We’re seeking an experienced Network Architect to join a federal government environment and provide strategic and technical leadership across enterprise network architecture.
This is an opportunity to work on secure, resilient and complex hybrid network environments , combining architecture, governance and hands-on technical leadership.

•Estimated start date: Thursday, 01 October 2026
- Develop and govern enterprise network architectures, standards and roadmaps
- Design and implement complex network and security solutions
- Lead architecture across routing, switching, WAN, load balancing and cloud networking
- Design network security architectures aligned to ISM, PSPF and Essential Eight
- Provide technical leadership, design assurance and architecture governance
- Drive improvements across network resilience, automation,
monitoring and operational supportability
- Work across a complex multi-vendor workplace , including Fortinet
What we’re looking for
- Strong enterprise network architecture experience in large, complex environments
- Significant Fortinet experience
- Strong expertise across enterprise networking, security and hybrid/cloud connectivity
- Experience applying Australian Government security frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership skills
- NV1 clearance or willingness to obtain
Desirable
Experience with:
- Microsoft Azure networking
- Network automation / Ansible / IaC
- Zero Trust and network segmentation
- Enterprise architecture governance
- Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet, F5 or Azure
