Searson Buck are proud to be partnering with a growing Tasmanian business seeking an Accountant to join their finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial integrity of multiple entities while supporting reporting, compliance, cashflow management, forecasting and process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad accounting role where you'll gain exposure to commercial decision-making and work closely with key stakeholders across the business.

- Drive month-end processes including journals, reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

- Prepare management reports, financial analysis and supporting working papers.
n
- Prepare GST returns and support statutory compliance obligations.
n
- Assist with year-end reporting and external audits.
n
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information across multiple entities.
n

Operational & Process

n

n
- Manage accounts receivable, invoicing and debtor collections.
n
- Process accounts payable, purchase orders and supplier reconciliations.
n




- Monitor cashflow and support forecasting activities.
n
- Perform bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations.
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.
n

Stakeholder & Commercial

n

- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insights and support.
n
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
n
- Support reporting requirements across local and foreign entities.
n
- Contribute to improved financial processes and business performance outcomes.
n

About You

n

n
- CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) with experience in a commercial accounting environment.
n
- Robust stakeholder skills and a genuine interest in how businesses operate and grow.
n
- Able to use financial insights to support better business decisions and outcomes.
n
