About Us
n The Fox & Hounds Historic Hotel is an established accommodation and hospitality venue located on Tasmania's Tasman Peninsula. Operated by Kingmot Pty Ltd, the hotel provides accommodation, restaurant, bar and guest-service facilities for visitors to the Port Arthur region.
n We are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to plan, organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel and ensure high standards of guest service, operational efficiency, staff performance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Plan, organise and oversee daily hotel and accommodation operations
n
- Manage reservations, room allocations, reception and guest-service standards
n
- Coordinate housekeeping requirements and accommodation presentation
n
- Oversee food and beverage operations and service delivery
n
- Recruit, induct, roster, train and supervise staff
n
- Monitor staff performance and operational service standards
n
- Manage guest enquiries, complaints, feedback and service issues
n
- Monitor budgets, operating expenditure, stock control and purchasing
n
- Manage supplier relationships and routine procurement requirements
n
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, business records and financial administration
n
- Coordinate property maintenance, presentation and security requirements
n
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, responsible-service, licensing and company requirements
n
- Implement and review operational procedures to improve efficiency,



service quality and guest satisfaction

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hotel, motel, resort or accommodation management experience
n
- Demonstrated experience managing accommodation and hospitality operations
n
- Strong leadership, staff supervision and organisational skills
n
- Experience with reservations, guest services, rostering, purchasing and operational administration
n
- Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills
n
- Ability to manage competing operational priorities in a busy hospitality environment
n
- Relevant qualification in hospitality, hotel management, business management or a related field is desirable

Remuneration

n

Cash Salary: $80,000 per annum plus statutory superannuation.

n

Accommodation: Rent-free furnished accommodation is provided on-site at The Fox & Hounds Historic Hotel as an additional employment benefit. The accommodation has an estimated rental value of approximately $450 per week ($23,400 per annum) and is provided in addition to the cash salary.

Indicative Package: Approximately $103,400 per annum plus statutory superannuation, comprising the $80,000 cash salary and approximately $23,400 in rent-free accommodation value.
