The Opportunity

Be part of a team that builds high performing and sustainable dealers across Australia and New Zealand. As a Dealer Strategy Manager, Brisbane you will partner with dealers to lift operational results, strengthen financial health, and drive strategic alignment to John Deere’s strategy. You’ll accelerate implementation of capabilities—spanning across service, parts, sales and technology - so dealers can deliver world class customer solutions.

Location: Australia

Travel: Up to 50% across Australia & New Zealand (Regular dealer visits required)

Role Objectives

- Monitor and analyse dealer financial, market, and operational performance, providing strategic recommendations to improve profitability, growth, and business sustainability.
- Partner with dealer leadership teams to develop and execute business strategies that align with short and long-term objectives.
- Drive the acceleration of capability implementation,



helping dealers prioritise initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Lead and support organisational change by influencing the adoption of new processes, technologies, and ways of working across dealer networks.
- Develop tailored business plans and improvement strategies for assigned channel partners and monitor execution against agreed objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor and coach to dealer principals and senior leaders, building capability and strengthening leadership effectiveness.
- Monitor performance and risk through robust governance practices, ensuring dealer standards and business expectations are consistently achieved.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex business challenges and deliver best-in‑class customer and business outcomes.

You are confident influencing senior stakeholders, thrive in ambiguity, and bring a proactive, consultative approach to helping organisations navigate change and achieve sustainable growth.

What Skills You Need

- Proven experience in dealer operations, multi‑site retail or service networks, business consulting, channel development, or a related field.
- Strong strategic business acumen with the ability to understand broader market dynamics and translate strategy into execution.
- Advanced financial and operational acumen,



including the ability to interpret P&L; statements, balance sheets, aftermarket performance, and sales metrics to drive decision‑making.
- Strong consulting, stakeholder engagement, and coaching skills, with experience working directly with senior leadership teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire diverse audiences.
- Strong problem‑solving capabilities and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
- High levels of emotional intelligence, resilience, and adaptability.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Australia and Current Zealand to develop strong dealer partnerships and support business outcomes.

Education / Experience

Ideally, you will hold a degree in Business, Commerce, Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or possess equivalent professional experience.
