BankVic is looking for an experienced Business Capability Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service, business-led change, strengthening operational capability and supporting BankVic's broader digitisation and transformation agenda.
This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded banking professional who understands the intersection of payments, technology, operations, products and customer outcomes and is excited by the chance to make a genuine impact in a purpose-driven financial institution.
Reporting to the Head of Banking Operations , you will work closely with the Enterprise PMO, Product, Technology and Risk teams to deliver meaningful change while being hands on with day-to-day banking operations.

Key Areas Of Responsibility Will Include
- Own the end-to-end delivery of member statements and operational communications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with BankVic requirements
- Partnering with the Enterprise PMO to prioritise and successfully deliver enterprise and business-led change.
- Working closely with the Product team to design, build and implement new products from a system and operational perspective.
- Representing BankVic, where required,
on industry change relating to payments and transactional banking.
- Provide end-to-end governance of business-critical contracts, including vendor governance meetings, contract renewals, performance management, risk oversight and regulatory compliance.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and operational effectiveness and driving practical solutions.
- Ensuring policies, procedures and operational frameworks remain current, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Supporting the effective management and maintenance of BankVic facilities, vendors and contractors.
About You
We're looking for a strong banking and payments professional who brings a blend of operational expertise and a genuine passion for operations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on and making things happen, while partnering closely with the leadership team and leading a small team to drive meaningful change, optimisation and continuous improvement across the business.
You Will Bring
- Strong experience within banking, financial services or payments, ideally with a focus on transactional banking.
- Strong knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment, including ePayments, AML/CTF, AFSL, ACL and Privacy obligations.
- Experience working with core banking and origination platforms.
- Experience delivering system,
process or operational change within a growth or transformation environment.
- Strong understanding of payments and transactional services.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors, contracts and key stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify issues, understand root causes and develop effective solutions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- The ability to influence, lead and bring people with you through change.
- A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
