Details: The Employee Relations team in People, Safety and Culture, City and Environment Directorate (CED) is seeking a committed, enthusiastic person to work within an innovative, engaged and professional team. This role will be confronted with tough conversations and will require a highly skilled professional who can effectively manage conflict and interact with workers at all levels, including executive. Being able to interpret and apply legislation, think on your feet, problem solve and make sound decisions is essential.
The ideal candidate will:
- have experience and a strong understanding of investigation management and assessments;
- have knowledge of reportable conduct processes or the ability to gain
- be a people focussed leader with a strong, considered and engaging approach to successfully deliver and drive a culture of respect and a desire to achieve customer service excellence,
- have an eye for detail and be equipped with exceptional communication (oral and written) and stakeholder engagement skills,
- possess an innate ability to draw on the right skills in a contextually and environmentally appropriate manner,
- be able to align team performance and develop capacity to achieve organisational objectives,
- model commitment to continual learning,
encourage ongoing development and engaging the right people to the right roles; and
- had previous exposure to a human resource setting.
Eligibility/Other requirements: Tertiary studies or extensive relevant experience in a human resource related discipline are highly desirable. Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or similar highly desirable.
Notes: An order of merit list will be established to fill future vacancies within the team either permanent or for higher duties over the next 12 months.
