Lead, grow and shape the Queensland operation of an established fire protection business.

Morson Edge Recruitment is partnering with an established fire protection services business to identify an experienced State Manager – Queensland to take ownership of its Queensland operations.

n

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who understands the fire protection industry, enjoys leading people and is commercially minded enough to drive both operational performance and business growth.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day performance and strategic direction of the Queensland business.
n
- Developing and implementing business plans to support sustainable growth.
n
- Managing budgets, forecasts, revenue and overall financial performance.
n
- Identifying opportunities to grow service agreements, repairs, maintenance and minor works.
n
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
n
- Providing leadership and direction to technicians, supervisors and office-based support teams.
n
- Monitoring operational KPIs and driving accountability across the business.
n
- Ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and company procedures.
n
- Supporting recruitment, performance management, development and retention of the Queensland team.
n
- Acting as a senior escalation point for customers and operational matters.
n
- Continuously identifying ways to improve processes, productivity, customer service and profitability.

What We're Looking For"

n





We're looking for an experienced leader who can combine technical industry knowledge with strong commercial and people-management skills.

n

Ideally, you will bring:

n

n
- Previous management or leadership experience within a service-based, technical or field operations environment.
n
- Strong understanding of the fire protection industry and relevant Australian Standards.
n
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, P&L; and commercial outcomes.
n
- Experience leading technicians, supervisors and support teams.
n
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.
n
- A practical understanding of service contracts, maintenance and reactive works.
n
- A current Queensland Driver Licence.
n
- Relevant trade qualifications and/or Certificate II/III in Asset Maintenance – Fire Protection Equipment.
n

It would be advantageous if you also have:

n

n
- QBCC registration or relevant tertiary qualifications.
n
- Previous experience within fire protection, HVAC, facilities management or a similar technical services environment.
n
- Experience working with Uptick or similar field-service management platforms.
n
- Experience growing a service-based business or regional operation.
n
