Our client is an Australian-owned leader in medical device manufacturing and packaging, delivering high-quality solutions for more than two decades. Operating from a purpose-built facility in Sydney, they offer a comprehensive portfolio spanning medical device assembly, cleanroom consumables, sterilisation, testing and validation, packaging equipment, and contract manufacturing services. Their state-of-the-art facility features ISO Class 7 & 8 cleanrooms and advanced machinery, including technology exclusive to the Asia-Pacific region. As a member of the global Medtech Network, they connect customers across Australia and New Zealand with world-class expertise and an unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.

The Opportunity

This is a national business development and sales role with broad responsibility for growing revenue, expanding customer accounts, and driving new business development across a diverse range of industries including healthcare, medtech, pharma, biotechnology, and animal health:

- Build and lead the future commercial function, providing leadership, mentoring and strategic direction as the business expands and additional sales resources are introduced.
- Develop and execute the company’s national business development strategy, creating a structured growth plan that expands its presence across the Australian and New Zealand medtech, pharmaceutical, biotech, and clinical research and healthcare sectors.
- Work closely with technical, operations and customer care teams to develop tailored solutions that address complex customer challenges across manufacturing, packaging, validation, testing, sterilisation,

and cleanroom environments.
- Lead the development of commercial infrastructure, including CRM adoption, sales processes, forecasting disciplines, pipeline management, and reporting frameworks that support scalable growth.
- Identify, pursue and secure new enterprise customer relationships, leading complex sales engagements with medical device manufacturers, life sciences organisations, pharmaceutical companies, and other regulated healthcare businesses.
- Build and grow strategic relationships with senior decision-makers, developing long-term partnerships that drive recurring revenue, increase customer retention, and grow market share.
- Create and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, with a particular focus on engaging emerging medtech and biotech companies early in their commercialisation journey.

The Requirements

- Demonstrated success securing large, complex customer agreements within medtech, life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or related sector/s.
- Background selling products, services, manufacturing solutions, consulting services, equipment or technical solutions to life science customers,

with evidence of consistently generating recent revenue through proactive business development rather than account servicing alone.
- Ability to develop trusted relationships with senior executives, technical stakeholders, procurement teams, and decision-makers across complex organisations.
- Ability to identify market opportunities, assess commercial viability, develop growth strategies, and translate customer challenges into profitable business outcomes.
- Experience establishing sales processes, commercial discipline, pipeline management, CRM utilisation, and go-to-market strategies in growing organisations.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading sales professionals is highly regarded, with the potential to build and lead a larger commercial team over time.
- Established connections and credibility within medtech, healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related sectors.

The Offer

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, Australian-owned medtech business at the forefront of medical device manufacturing and packaging, where technical excellence meets a collaborative, people-first culture. Our client is recognised for their commitment to quality, customer partnership, and continuous innovation, offering a dynamic environment where high performers are supported and rewarded. Remuneration will include a base salary reflecting individual experience and capability, annual car allowance, and short-term incentives aligned with personal and company performance. Please note that the position title for this role is flexible, but not to that of an Executive level position.
