An exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse to become part of a growing multidisciplinary team, working alongside integrative GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and experienced non-clinical support staff at Australia’s largest AGPAL-accredited integrative healthcare clinic in Hawthorn.
ABOUT NIIM
The National Institute of Integrative Medicine (NIIM) is a not-for-profit organisation which brings together education and research in Integrative Medicine, as well as facilitating its practice at the NIIM Clinic in Melbourne.

THE ROLE
In alignment with NIIM’s mission and values, this role supports individuals to make informed healthcare decisions while delivering evidence-based, person-centred nursing care within NIIM’s integrative general practice setting. This includes chronic disease management, health assessments, wound care, immunisation, patient education, IV therapy, and supporting minor procedures.
The role requires collaboration with GPs and allied health professionals and will enable a greater throughput of patients by optimising the practitioner’s available time. The role will require strong teamwork, collaboration and communication with the nursing, clinical administration and leadership teams. The role will contribute to the clinic’s commercial outcome requirements.
- 2+ years’ experience in general practice with knowledge in chronic disease management and a special interest in lifestyle management, including such areas as women’s health, preventative screening programs, diabetes, weight and asthma management.
- Current AHPRA registration (RN), CPR and First Aid certification and working with children check (WWCC).
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of infection control and sterilisation processes.
- Solid Interest in Integrative Medicine and adjunctive therapies.
- Proactive and self-motivated
