Yanchep Beach Club is looking for an experienced, energetic, and hospitality-focused Duty Manager to join our leadership team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident hospitality professional who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team, creating memorable guest experiences, and ensuring the venue runs smoothly from open to close.

As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Venue Manager and leadership team while taking ownership of day-to-day operations during your shifts. You'll be a hands-on leader who leads by example, motivates the team, solves problems quickly, and ensures our guests receive exceptional service every time.

About the Role

n

As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing venue operations across food, beverage, service, events, and guest experience.

n

You will be a visible and approachable leader who can confidently manage busy services, support team members, respond to guest needs, and maintain high standards across the venue.

n

Working closely with the Venue Manager and wider leadership team, you will help drive operational excellence while contributing to a positive, professional, and enjoyable workplace culture.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

Lead and oversee day-to-day venue operations during your shifts.

n

Take ownership of service standards, guest experience, and overall venue presentation.

n

Lead, motivate, coach, and support team members to perform at their best.

n

Ensure smooth service across food, beverage, functions, and events.

n

Manage busy periods confidently while remaining calm and solutions-focused.

n

Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure all operational requirements are completed.

n

Support rostering, staffing levels, breaks,



and effective service flow.

n

Provide on‐floor leadership and step in wherever required to support the team.

n

Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service issues professionally and effectively.

n

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and venue readiness.

n

Ensure compliance with RSA, liquor licensing, food safety, WHS, and company procedures.

n

Assist with team training, onboarding, performance management, and development.

n

Communicate effectively with senior management regarding operational matters and opportunities for improvement.

n

Support the venue in achieving service, sales, operational, and financial targets.

About You

n

You are a passionate hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and genuinely enjoys leading people.

n

You have the confidence to take charge of a shift, the communication skills to bring a team together, and the attention to detail required to ensure the venue operates to a consistently high standard.

n

You will bring:

Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar hospitality leadership role.

n

Strong people leadership and communication skills.

n

A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

n

The ability to lead by example and remain hands‐on during busy services.

n

Excellent organisation,

The confidence to make decisions and take ownership during your shifts.

n

A calm, professional, and solutions‐focused approach to challenges.

n

The ability to motivate and develop team members.

n

Strong knowledge of food, beverage, service, and venue operations.

n

A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider management team.

n

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).

n

Approved Manager Card, where required.

n

Food Safety Certificate.

n

Previous Duty Manager or Assistant Manager experience.

n

Experience in a high‐volume restaurant, bar, functions, or coastal venue.

n

First Aid Certificate.

n

Experience with staff training, rostering, and performance management.
