About the Role:
Goulburn Valley Alcohol and Drug Services (GVADS) is a consortium comprising three partner agencies: Goulburn Valley Health (GVH), Odyssey Victoria, and The Salvation Army, delivering alcohol and other drug (AOD) services across the Goulburn Valley (GV) catchment. This newly funded position sits with GVH and will provide support to clients seeking to address their alcohol and other drug use.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team comprising counsellors, nurses and addiction medicine staff. The role will work closely with the withdrawal team, supporting clients and their families across the GV catchment.
The successful candidate will have :
- Certificate IV or Diploma in AOD
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in AOD services
Located in Rushworth, Waranga Health is a 36-bed aged-care facility. The health service includes a four-bed acute care unit, a district nursing service, outpatient ambulatory consulting services and a dedicated palliative care suite and respite bed. Care and treatment are provided 24 hours a day by a talented multidisciplinary team working across a range of medical, nursing and allied health services.
