CFA is seeking an experienced VESEP Coordinator – Fleet & Equipment to coordinate the delivery of the Government-funded Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) across CFA.
VESEP has supported CFA volunteer brigades for more than 15 years, providing critical funding for fleet and equipment projects. In this role, you will help ensure funding is effectively administered and projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with legislative, regulatory and program requirements.
Working as part of a small, team-oriented team, you will coordinate multiple program rounds, manage budgets and reporting, assess applications and work closely with CFA brigades, Districts, Regions, Government and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate the delivery and administration of VESEP Fleet & Equipment projects.
- Manage state-wide budgets, financial forecasting, expenditure and reporting.
- Coordinate concurrent program rounds, applications, timelines, risks and governance requirements.
- Assess VESEP applications and provide detailed analysis and recommendations to the Statewide VESEP Steering Committee.
- Develop and maintain program processes, databases, reporting and document controls.
- Build effective relationships with CFA volunteers, brigades, Regions, Districts, Government and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate brigade inspections, launches, meetings and program communications.
- Prepare reports, briefings and correspondence, including information for Government and Emergency Management Victoria.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and translate program outcomes into practical recommendations.
About you
- Demonstrated ability to to coordinate the delivery of multiple, concurrent projects within strict timelines and minimal supervision.
- Sound knowledge of Government projects including financial structures, reporting requirements and protocols.
- Experience in working co-operatively with Emergency Services, various levels of Government agencies and/or community based organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret financial information and communicate analysis outcomes
- Skills in research and data analysis with the ability to analyse, problem solve and communicate information to people at all levels.
- Proven ability to work with others and develop and contribute to harmonious and motivating work environments.
- Good knowledge of computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Power point as well as internal systems such as SAP and RMS
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills including the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
