Job Description
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of regional infrastructure projects, Durack Civil is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our delivery team.
n
This role will primarily support FIFO and DIDO project operations across regional Queensland and Northern New South Wales, working on a range of road, bridge, flood restoration and civil infrastructure projects.
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering projects safely, on time and within budget. This position offers a hands‐on project delivery environment where you'll have genuine ownership of your work and the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals.

Qualifications & Experience
n
n
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
n
- Minimum 4 years' experience working as a Project Engineer within the civil construction industry.
n
- Current Driver Licence and Construction White Card.
n
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
n
- Proven experience managing subcontractors,
procurement and project costs.
n
- Ability to work independently in regional project environments.
n
- Robust communication, leadership and organisational skills.
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
- DTMR and/or RMS project experience.
n
- Experience delivering road, bridge, pavement, flood restoration or transport infrastructure projects.
n
- Previous FIFO, DIDO or remote project experience.
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Assist in the successful delivery of civil construction projects from award through to completion.
n
- Coordinate project planning, programming and daily project activities.
n
- Manage procurement, subcontractors and supplier relationships.
n
- Monitor project costs, production and forecasting.
n
- Prepare monthly reporting, progress claims and project documentation.
n
- Implement and maintain project quality systems, ITPs and compliance requirements.
n
- Support site teams to achieve safety, quality and programme objectives.
n
- Mentor Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
n
- Assist with project methodology development and construction planning.
n
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with client specifications and company systems.
n
- Support tendering and project handovers as required.
