Managing Director [Internal Applicants Only]

Reporting to the Board, the Managing Director will hold full accountability for the performance, governance and long-term value of the Pentarch Group.

About the position Reporting to the Board, the Managing Director will hold full accountability for the performance, governance and long-term value of the Pentarch Group. You will lead Group strategy and performance across our Forestry, Agricultural, and Permaculture & Carbon divisions, supported by Shared Services. As Chair of the Executive Leadership Team, you will drive alignment, accountability and sustainable growth across the Group. Regular travel is required.

- Developing Group strategy for Board approval and leading its execution;
n
- Delivering agreed financial, operational, safety and growth outcomes.;
n
- Leading the Executive Leadership Team and holding executives accountable for performance;
n
- Driving sustainable growth, disciplined capital allocation and portfolio optimisation;
n
- Overseeing financial performance, major investments, acquisitions and integration;
n
- Ensuring effective governance, risk management, WHSE and regulatory compliance;
n
- Driving operational and organisational effectiveness across the Group;
n
- Building strong relationships with the Board, shareholders, government and key external stakeholders; and,
n
- Strengthening organisational capability, culture and succession planning

About You
n
You are an accomplished executive with:
n
n
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years' senior executive leadership experience, including substantial experience as a Managing Director, CEO, Divisional CEO or equivalent;
n
- Proven success leading strategy,
growth and financial performance across a complex, multi-site or multi-division organisation;
n
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with capital allocation, funding, cash flow and investment decision-making;
n
- Demonstrated experience working directly with a Board;
n
- The ability to lead, develop and hold a senior executive team accountable;
n
- Experience in asset-intensive or industrial sectors and high-risk operational environments;
n
- Significant experience managing large-scale, long-term commercial arrangements with State Government entities;
n
- Experience in acquisitions, business integration and portfolio optimisation;
n
- Strong governance, risk and WHSE leadership; and,
n
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline is essential.
n
- A postgraduate qualification, such as an MBA, is preferred.
n
- Membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors is preferred.
n
n
