Plan, coordinate and undertake verification and validation of critical software and control system products supporting the Sydney Trains network
n Prepare and manage technical specifications, test plans, test procedures, engineering reports and supporting evidence for product acceptance and type approval
n Deliver control systems product testing according to approved requirements, designs and scheduled delivery timeframes
n Undertake independent verification and validation of software and system products against approved requirements, design specifications and operational needs
n Analyse requirements and design specifications to develop comprehensive testing documentation and traceability evidence
n Investigate faults and identify system deficiencies under test conditions
n Provide technical guidance and present technical findings, risks and recommendations to engineering and project stakeholders
n Report to the Test Manager (ATRICS) within the ATRICS Test Team and Engineering Systems Integrity section at Sydney Trains

Requirements
n
n
- Tertiary (degree level) qualifications in electrical or computer systems engineering or demonstrated equivalent experience
n
- Demonstrated experience testing integrated hardware and software systems in safety-critical systems or operational technology environments, such as railway signalling, rail control, cybersecurity or industrial control systems
n
- Demonstrated experience planning and coordinating complex testing activities, managing test dependencies and providing technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders
n
- Demonstrated experience analysing requirements and design specifications to prepare comprehensive test plans, test procedures, traceability evidence and engineering test reports
n
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Windows environments and diagnostic tools to configure systems, investigate faults and support system testing
n
- Demonstrated experience in system testing, fault investigation and identifying system deficiencies under test conditions, including communication protocols based on serial and IP networking technologies
n
- Demonstrated experience with virtualised environments, Windows Server platforms and networked systems
n
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting technical findings, risks and recommendations to engineering and project stakeholders
n
