About The Role

n

We're looking for Mid-level Engineers to join a major technology transformation, building a up-to-date, cloud-native platform that will sit at the heart of a new B2B ordering ecosystem.

n

The organisation is moving away from a bespoke legacy core towards a clean, domain-driven architecture, with the new platform spanning areas such as pricing, product information, order management and supply chain.

n

You'll be part of the team building the middleware and integration layer between a modern off-the-shelf Order Management System (OMS) and the data and services it needs to operate.

n

The platform will expose APIs and event-driven interfaces, connect multiple business domains and systems, and support sophisticated B2B ordering workflows, including pre-agreed stock drawdowns and commercial ordering arrangements.

Responsibilities

n

n
- Design, develop and maintain high-quality Java/Spring Boot microservices
n
- Build the middleware layer connecting the OMS with business data and services
n
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and event-driven services
n
- Design solutions within a domain-driven, clean architecture
n
- Build scalable and resilient services on AWS
n
- Integrate systems across ordering,



product, pricing and supply-chain domains
n
- Work with existing legacy systems while new platform capabilities are progressively introduced
n
- Contribute to technical design, development and architectural decisions
n
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Engineering Lead and wider engineering team
n
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested production code
n
- Troubleshoot complex integration and distributed-system issues
n
- Help deliver the platform through to the February development-complete target
n

REQUIREMENTS:

n

- Strong commercial experience with Java
n
- Strong Spring Boot experience
n
- Proven experience designing and developing microservices
n
- Strong hands-on AWS experience
n
- Extensive experience in retail and across B2B, ordering or supply-chain platforms
n
- Experience building and consuming APIs
n
- Experience with event-driven architecture
n
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns
n
- Experience working with clean architecture / domain-driven design
n
- Ability to work effectively within an established technical vision
n
