You've done the Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor or consultancy years. You know how complex construction actually works on site, not just on paper.

Whether you are a seasoned Senior Engineer ready for your next title step, an established Associate, or an Associate Director looking to focus purely on high-caliber technical delivery (without BD pressures), this role offers real influence.

We are looking for an ambitious, hands-on engineer to take full technical ownership of project delivery across major Sydney infrastructure. You'll be the technical anchor for the team: running projects end-to-end, serving as the CPEng sign-off authority for complex designs, and leading a high-performing group of engineers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
n

- Project Delivery & Sign-Off: Lead complex temporary works designs from concept to completion, serving as the CPEng sign-off authority.
n
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, train, and mentor a small, dedicated team of engineers—building their technical capability and delivery standards.
n
- Commercial Management: Hands‐on oversight of project P&Ls; for mid‐tier packages, fee proposals, invoicing, and resource scheduling.
n
- Client Engagement: Work directly with Tier-1 contractors, project directors, and site teams on complex buildability and construction methodology challenges.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
n
n
- Qualifications: Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering + CENG / CPEng / NER (Essential for project certification).
n
- Experience: Open to strong Senior, Associate, or Associate Director candidates with 8+ years of structural/temporary works design experience within an Australian consultancy or contractor background.
n
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in complex temporary works - jumpforms, crane bases/grillages, deep excavation/retention, falsework, heavy rigging, and construction staging.
n
- Delivery Mindset: Proven ability to run projects autonomously, manage small project finances, and keep delivery on schedule.
n
- Communication: Exceptional client-facing skills, leadership presence, and a team-oriented team-first approach.
n
- Eligibility: Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship required.
