Job Description

The Network are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Government environment and support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise technology infrastructure.

This is a hands-on technical role covering cloud, virtualisation, infrastructure automation, IaC, cybersecurity, monitoring and DevOps.

12 month contract + extension options

n

Must be Canberra based and hold minimum NV1 security clearance.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provision, configure, maintain and optimise physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
n
- Manage cloud and hybrid/multi-cloud environments and support infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
n
- Develop automation using scripting, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and orchestration tools.
n
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability and security.
n
- Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and security-related issues.
n
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security and development/DevOps teams.
n
- Support containerisation and contemporary application deployment practices.
n
- Drive automation, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
n




- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
n
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders.
n

Key Criteria

n

n
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience managing and optimising enterprise infrastructure across physical, virtual, cloud and hybrid environments.
n
- Automation & IaC: Demonstrated experience with scripting, Infrastructure as Code, orchestration and automation technologies.
n
- Technical Problem Solving: Proven ability to resolve complex infrastructure and security issues, drive continuous improvement and provide technical advice to stakeholders.
n

Desirable Experience

n

Experience with Azure/AWS, Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell/Python, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools and enterprise infrastructure platforms will be highly regarded.

n

Federal Government experience is highly desirable.
