Mid-Level Java / Kotlin Engineer - FinTech Contract | 6-Month Rolling Contract | Primarily Remote

Daily rate: $800-$950 p/d inc. Super

We're working with a growing FinTech organisation looking for a Mid-Level Java / Kotlin Engineer to join their engineering team on an initial 6-month rolling contract.

n

This is a primarily remote chance working across modern, scalable backend systems, with a strong focus on clean code, engineering quality and best practices.

The Role

n

n
- Build and maintain backend services using Java and Kotlin
n
- Develop scalable microservices and APIs
n
- Work across event-driven and distributed architectures
n
- Build cloud-native solutions across AWS
n
- Work with Kafka for messaging and event streaming
n
- Deploy and operate containerised applications using Kubernetes
n
- Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices
n
- Work closely with engineers,



product and other technical stakeholders
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Strong commercial experience with Java and/or Kotlin
n
- Experience building backend APIs and microservices
n
- AWS cloud experience
n
- Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming experience
n
- Kubernetes and containerisation experience
n
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and clean coding practices
n
- FinTech, banking or financial services experience is beneficial but not essential
n

The Details

- $800-$950 per day including Super
n
- Initial 6-month rolling contract
n
- Primarily remote working with occasional Sydney office attendance
n
- Modern Java/Kotlin, AWS, Kafka and Kubernetes stack
n
- FinTech environment
