Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Scheduler / Planner to join our client's team in Queensland on a 12-month fixed-term contract, commencing 28 September 2026. This is an excellent prospect for an organised and detail-focused professional with experience in project or maintenance scheduling. Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning and scheduling systems is highly desirable.

The Role
n
As the Scheduler / Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating project and/or maintenance activities to ensure work is effectively planned, resourced and delivered within required timeframes.

- Developing and updating project or maintenance schedules
n
- Planning labour, materials, equipment and shutdown activities
n
- Monitoring progress, delays, critical paths and completion dates
n
- Maintaining accurate schedules and updating plans as priorities change
n
- Identifying potential scheduling conflicts, risks and delays
n
- Working closely with project, maintenance and operational teams
n
- Coordinating resources to support efficient delivery of planned works
n
- Providing scheduling updates and progress reporting to relevant stakeholders
n
- Ensuring planning activities align with operational and project requirements
n
- Master scheduling for capital and operational works
n
- Maintenance planning and monthly work-plan preparation
n
- Budgeting,
forecasting and time and cost reporting
n
- Resource, contractor and materials coordination
n
- Project milestones, KPIs and performance reporting
n
- Systems include Pronto, SAP, IBM Cognos, MS Project, Smartsheet and Power BI
n
- Strong contractor, stakeholder and WHS management
n
n
About You
n
n
- Previous experience in a Scheduler, Planner or similar position
n
- Experience within mining, resources, construction, maintenance or a similar environment highly regarded
n
- Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning systems is desirable
n
- Strong understanding of scheduling, resource planning and critical path management
n
- Ability to effectively plan labour, equipment, materials and shutdown activities
n
- Robust organisational and time-management skills
n
- High attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
- Confidence working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
n
