About the role

n

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at Monash University, Parkville. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day security operations across the site, supporting and guiding security officers, and ensuring a consistently high standard of service is delivered to students, staff, visitors and key stakeholders. You will be a visible and approachable leader on site, responsible for coordinating the team, responding to incidents, maintaining site security standards and acting as a key point of contact between MSS Security and Monash University.

Duties

n

n
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the security team on site.
n
- Provide leadership, direction and support to Security Officers.
n
- Conduct regular site patrols and ensure buildings, facilities and surrounding areas remain safe and secure.
n
- Coordinate security responses to incidents, emergencies and other site issues.
n
- Act as a key point of contact for Monash University staff, students, visitors and other stakeholders.
n
- Ensure officers are following site procedures, security protocols and client requirements.
n
- Monitor officer performance, presentation and adherence to expected service standards.
n
- Coordinate escorts, access requirements, lock/unlock procedures and other site-specific security activities.
n
- Ensure clear and effective communication across the security team.
n
- Escalate incidents and operational matters appropriately to MSS Security and Monash University management.
n
- Support the onboarding, training and development of security officers on site.
n




- Maintain a professional and customer-focused security presence across the campus.
n

Ideal candidates will have

n

n
- Proven experience in a Security Supervisor, Site Supervisor or senior security position.
n
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
n
- Previous experience working within a security environment, preferably across a large site or campus.
n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
- Strong customer service skills and professional presentation.
n
- Sound knowledge of incident management, reporting and security procedures.
n
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
n
- Ability to work collaboratively with security teams, clients and emergency services.
n
- Physically capable of conducting regular site patrols and remaining active throughout the shift.
n
- Assist with incident management, investigations and accurate report writing.
n

Requirements

- Full Australian working rights.
n
- Valid Victorian Security License.
n
- Valid Victorian Driver's License with no restrictions.
n
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain).
n
- First Aid and CPR certificates (or willing to obtain).
n
- Master License Number: 409-987-30S
