About the role

n

A s a Principal Architect, you'll play a critical leadership role in shaping enterprise-wide technology strategy and driving transformation across key corporate domains, including Finance, Procurement, Property, Payroll, ERP, Group Tax, Treasury, and Sustainability.

n

Working as part of our Architecture team, you'll take an enterprise view of business challenges and opportunities, partnering with senior stakeholders to design future-state capabilities that enhance agility, simplify complexity, and deliver lasting business value.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Develop and drive architecture strategies, roadmaps, and target-state designs aligned to business priorities and enterprise objectives .
n
- Partner with senior business leaders to co-create technology strategies that support growth, innovation, operational excellence, and long-term business outcomes.
n
- Lead the design and evolution of enterprise capabilities across Finance, Procurement, Property, Payroll, ERP, Treasury, Tax, and Sustainability domains.
n
- Guide large-scale technology transformation initiatives, balancing strategic goals with delivery realities, risk, cost, quality,



and timelines.
n
- Influence the simplification, modernisation, and optimisation of AGL's technology landscape while reducing technical debt.
n
- Collaborate with Architecture Leadership and delivery teams to assess change impacts, align with architectural guardrails, and drive implementation decisions.
n
- Evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, methods, and tools to identify opportunities that create competitive advantage and business value.

What You'll Bring

n

n
- Significant experience in Enterprise, Domain, Solution, or Business Architecture leadership roles within large, complex organisations.
n
- Proven knowledge and technology experience from some of the following - Finance (preferred) , Procurement, Property, Payroll, ERP, Treasury, Tax, and Sustainability domains
n
- Demonstrated success developing architecture strategies, target states, and transformation roadmaps across multiple business domains.
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives and business leaders.
n
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs and technology modernisation initiatives.
n
- Deep understanding of architecture frameworks, governance practices, and strategic planning methodologies.
n
- Ability to balance long-term strategic vision with practical delivery outcomes.
n
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts in clear,



business-focused language.
n
