As a Senior Project Management Officer, you’ll support the planning and delivery of strategic projects and initiatives across Vinnies’ NSW Property Portfolio, working closely with internal stakeholders, the Property team, consultants, and contractors. You’ll provide strong project coordination and controls across programmes, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, helping to identify issues early and keep work on track. You’ll coordinate governance requirements, consultant activities and project documentation and prepare clear project and portfolio reporting to support informed decision-making and timely escalation of issues. You’ll also take ownership of defined projects or workstreams where appropriate and help strengthen the way the Property team manages its work by improving the consistency of project processes, templates, systems, and reporting. This role is based in Woolloomooloo with visits to the Lewisham office when required.
Your Responsibility
- Coordinate strategic projects and initiatives across the Property Portfolio, supporting internal stakeholders and project teams, from planning through to delivery and close-out.
- Monitor project programmes, milestones, dependencies and deliverables, identifying delays and emerging risks early.
- Track project budgets, expenditure, commitments and forecasts, identifying and escalating material variances.
- Establish and maintain project controls, including risk, issue, action, decision, approval, change, procurement and milestone registers.
- Prepare clear and concise project, portfolio and governance reporting, including status updates, budgets, risks, upcoming activities and matters requiring decisions.
- Coordinate governance meetings, agendas, papers, dashboards, recommendations and follow-up actions.
- Review project information to identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks and areas requiring further investigation.
- Coordinate consultant procurement and engagement activities and monitor consultant deliverables against agreed scope and programme.
- Build effective relationships across Property, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Governance and Risk, service directorates, consultants and contractors.
- Maintain high-quality project documentation and records, including SharePoint and other approved systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve project management practices, templates, systems, and ways of working across the Property portfolio.
Experience across a property portfolio, development, construction, capital works or client-side project environment will be highly regarded, as will experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and developing dashboards or consolidated project reporting.
