Faith Lutheran College is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Primary Classroom Teacher to join our Junior School team for a 12-month contract in 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a Year 1/2 class within a supportive and collaborative learning community that values inquiry, innovation and strong relationships. The successful applicant will deliver engaging learning experiences that support the academic, social, emotional and spiritual growth of students while fostering a love of learning and curiosity about the world around them.
This position would suit both experienced teachers and graduate teachers looking to begin their career in a highly supportive environment. About the Role
The successful applicant will:
- Teach a Year 1/2 class within the Junior School.
- Deliver engaging inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme and Australian Curriculum.
- Foster strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
- Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Contribute positively to the culture and life of the College.
- Support the Christian ethos and values of the College.
- Current South Australian Teacher Registration (or eligibility to obtain).
- Relevant teaching qualifications.
- Commitment to student-centred, inquiry-based learning.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
- Commitment to contributing to the wider College community.
- Experience with or knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Experience teaching in a Junior Primary setting.
- Experience within a Lutheran or Christian education setting.
