Bearspace is a growing architecture and design practice based in Brisbane, working across a diverse mix of commercial, education, community, workplace and other projects.

As the practice enters an exciting new stage of growth, including a new partnership that will broaden its architectural capability and project portfolio, we are seeking a Registered Architect, Senior Architect or Associate to join the team.

This is an opportunity to work across projects of varying scale, from smaller projects where you can take genuine ownership through to larger and more complex projects, while continuing to develop your leadership, client and commercial capability.

The studio works collaboratively across the full project lifecycle, giving the team exposure from early concept and design development through to documentation, approvals, construction and delivery.

The Prospect

We are open to shaping this role based on experience, with opportunities from Registered Architect through to Associate level.

You Will Be Involved In

- Leading and contributing to projects from concept through to construction




- Working across both smaller and larger-scale projects
- Design development and technical documentation
- Coordinating consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
- Building and managing client relationships
- Managing projects independently at a senior level, or developing toward this capability
- Supporting and mentoring Architects, Graduates and Designers
- Contributing to design reviews and broader studio discussions
- Becoming increasingly involved in proposals, tenders and new opportunities
- Developing your business development and client relationship capability
- Helping shape the continued growth of the architectural team

This role offers a strong pathway for progression, whether you are stepping into greater project leadership or looking to continue developing toward Associate and broader practice leadership.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Registered Architect who:

- Is registered in Australia
- Has strong architectural design and project delivery experience
- Is confident working across both design and documentation
- Can contribute to or lead projects through multiple stages
- Has strong Revit capability
- Has a good understanding of Australian construction,



NCC and regulatory requirements
- Has strong communication and collaboration skills
- Is confident working with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
- Enjoys supporting and mentoring others
- Takes ownership of their work and is motivated to continue growing

You may currently be working as an Architect, Senior Architect, Senior Project Architect or Associate.

You do not need to already have extensive business development experience. For someone interested in developing this capability, there will be opportunities to build client relationships, grow your network and become increasingly involved in the growth of the practice.
