Job Description

CARAC, an iconic and well-established retailer of Caravan, Trailer & Camping Parts & Accessories, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Warehouse Assistant to join their Dandenong South team, working with our Warehouse Manager.

This is a newly created role with the chance to grow and develop within the business. This role could be, but is not limited to, new school leavers.

n

The working week is Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm.

n

The daily functioning of the warehouse

n

n
- Receiving stock from suppliers.
n
- Receipting the stock accurately by manual count/check and inputting the correct information into the computer system.
n
- Perform pick-ups from local supplier warehouses, using a company vehicle.
n
- Making contact with the customer to advise them on receipt of any customer orders and managing the customer order tracking system.
n
- Assisting the online team with picking of orders.
n
- Other general warehouse activities, including good housekeeping, and forklift maintenance/checks.
n
- Adhere to all Occupation Health and Safety requirements and enforce safety requirements when others enter the warehouse.
n

Experience Required

n

n
- Current forklift license (not essential as this can be gained whilst at Carac)
n
- Excellent literacy,



numeracy and computer skills
n
- Ability to work as part of a small team
n
- A good level of fitness
n
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
n
- Experience as a Storeperson will be looked upon favorably, however not essential.
n

- Can work independently once trained

- Has a positive, "can-do" attitude and friendly manner

- Previous warehouse experience is not essential - training will be provided.

- Forklift experience or a license is an advantage, however not essential before starting.
