Think Talent is partnering with a complex, multi-business organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the post-go-live optimisation of UKG and the transformation of HR processes across the Group.
This is a business-facing process transformation role rather than a technical configuration or QA position. A central part of the engagement will be bringing stakeholders from different businesses and functions together, understanding variations in existing processes and facilitating agreement on simpler, more consistent future-state workflows, to improve the employee experience
You will work across People & Culture, payroll, technology, employees, managers, vendors and implementation partners. Success will require strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder influence and the ability to move work from discovery and process mapping through to requirements, testing, implementation and adoption.
The opportunity
The organisation has implemented UKG across a diverse group of businesses. The next phase is focused on stabilising the platform, improving the user experience and bringing multiple HR processes together into a more standardised operating approach.
You will help stakeholders distinguish genuine business or regulatory requirements from historical preferences and manual workarounds. Your role will be to facilitate decisions, document agreed processes and translate them into practical system and workflow improvements.
What you’ll be responsible for
Process discovery and harmonisation
- Map current-state HR processes across different businesses, functions and employee groups.
- Identify duplication, process variation, manual workarounds, unnecessary hand-offs and opportunities for automation.
- Bring multiple processes together into clear, standardised future-state workflows.
- Balance Group-wide consistency with legitimate operational, workforce and regulatory requirements.
- Produce process maps, business requirements, decision records and supporting documentation.
Workshop facilitation and stakeholder alignment
- Design and facilitate workshops with People & Culture, payroll, technology and operational stakeholders.
- Create an environment where stakeholders can openly explore current pain points, requirements and process differences.
- Navigate competing priorities and constructively challenge established ways of working.
- Build agreement on future-state processes, ownership, decision points and implementation priorities.
- Maintain clear visibility of decisions, dependencies, risks and unresolved issues.
UKG workflow optimisation
- Review employee and manager workflows within the post-go-live UKG workplace.
- Identify system, process and user-experience issues affecting efficiency or adoption.
- Translate agreed business outcomes into clearly defined workflow and system requirements.
- Partner with technical specialists, vendors and implementation partners to design and deliver practical improvements.
- Ensure proposed changes align with the way work is performed across the organisation.
Testing and implementation
- Translate business requirements into test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing and ensure changes meet agreed stakeholder requirements.
- Support defect resolution and assess potential downstream impacts across people, payroll, data and business operations.
- Validate that implemented changes deliver the intended process and user-experience improvements.
Change and adoption
- Assess the people and operational impacts of proposed process and system changes.
- Develop practical process documentation, user guidance, communications and training materials.
- Support employees, managers, People & Culture and payroll teams to adopt new processes.
- Monitor adoption and recommend further improvements or interventions where required.
- Transition improved processes into sustainable business-as-usual ownership.
What you’ll bring
- Significant Business Analyst experience within HR, people systems or process transformation.
- Demonstrated experience consolidating multiple processes or workflows into a standardised operating approach.
- Strong workshop design and facilitation capability across current-state discovery and future-state design.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills within a complex, matrixed or multi-business organisation.
- The confidence to navigate competing requirements, challenge constructively and build alignment.
- Experience working with UKG in an implementation, transformation, optimisation or post-go-live environment.
- Strong process-mapping, requirements-gathering and documentation capability.
- Experience translating business requirements into system changes, testing and implementation.
- An understanding of how HR processes connect with payroll, data, compliance and operational requirements.
- Practical experience supporting change, communications, training and user adoption.
- Strong organisation, judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities within a time-bound program.
What success will look like
During the engagement, you will contribute to:
- Multiple HR processes being consolidated into simpler and more consistent Group-wide workflows.
- Stronger stakeholder alignment around future-state processes and ownership.
- Improved employee and manager experiences within UKG.
- Reduced manual work, duplication, unnecessary variation and avoidable support requests.
- Clearer process documentation, requirements and decision records.
- More effective testing, issue resolution and implementation of improvements.
- Stronger system and process adoption across the organisation.
- Sustainable transition of improved processes into business-as-usual operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Senior Business Analyst who enjoys bringing people together, making sense of complexity and turning varied business requirements into practical, sustainable processes.
