Wellways Australia is seeking a Suicide Prevention Peer Worker – Lived Experience to provide compassionate, phone-based and in-person support where needed. This part time, 22.8 hours/week role is office-based in Gympie or Rockhampton, centred on peer-led, recovery-focused connections.
Your lived experience with suicidality or bereavement informs empathetic listening, validation, and safety planning, helping participants navigate support pathways and feel seen, heard and valued.
