Your Contribution
n
As the Financial Accountant, you will deliver financial accounting and taxation services to the Corporate Administration Agency's clients through a shared service arrangement. This includes preparing financial statements for multiple clients, delivering taxation services (GST and FBT) and financial management training, and developing effective accounting structures.

Your Role
n
The Financial Accountant, AO7, is a role in which you will:
n
n
- Co-ordinate and deliver financial accounting and taxation services to external clients, including the preparation of financial statements, Fringe Benefits Tax returns and related advice
n
- Ensure compliance for multiple clients with Queensland Treasury's whole-of-government financial reporting requirements using the FRaMES system
n
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting structures, in collaboration with the Financial Management, Financial Operations and Systems teams, to support effective internal and external reporting
n
- Liaise with key government agencies including Queensland Treasury, the Queensland Audit Office and the Australian Taxation Office regarding complex financial and taxation issues affecting the CAA and client agencies
n
- Investigate and resolve issues within the financial consulting function using initiative and sound problem-solving skills
n
- Deliver training to CAA clients to raise awareness of current financial accounting, taxation and legislative requirements

This Position Requires

- Demonstrated experience providing complex financial accounting services, with the ability to operate effectively in a purchaser/provider model of service delivery. Knowledge of Queensland Government financial management practices and accounting standards is desirable.
