Grand River Personnel is recruiting experienced Assemblers for current full-time (temp-to-hire) vacancies in Cambridge, ON.

We are hiring now for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in producing quality work. The successful candidates will have strong assembly experience, excellent communication skills in English, and a proven history of job stability in previous roles.

This position is not open to students. Please NO student applications.

Shift(s):

Days:

Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Friday: 7:45 AM–2:00 PM

Nights:

Monday–Thursday: 9:30 PM–8:00 AM ($1.00 Shift Premium).
Night-shift candidates may be required to train on days, Monday–Friday, until fully trained and able to work independently.

Pay Rate:

$21.00–$23.00/hour, based on experience + 4% vacation pay added to each weekly cheque

Responsibilities:

- Assemble metal components using screws, clips, adhesives, bonding materials, and other assembly methods
- Use hand and power tools, including drills, electric staple guns, and glue guns
- Inspect completed work and perform quality checks on products assembled by fellow team members
- Identify defects and ensure products meet specifications using visual inspection, sample models, and measuring instruments
- Read work orders, part numbers, and product specifications accurately
- Sort, package, crate, and prepare finished products according to customer requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

- Previous assembly experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy




- Excellent verbal communication skills in English , including the ability to clearly understand and communicate workplace instructions
- Proven job stability and a consistent employment history are very important
- Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Ability to read and accurately interpret work orders and alpha/numeric part numbers
- Basic computer proficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Reliable, punctual, dependable, and committed to regular attendance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- CSA-approved safety footwear required
