Job Description

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, engaging and inclusive lessons appropriate to learners' ages, abilities and individual needs.

Develop and implement schemes of work and learning programmes in line with curriculum requirements and educational standards.

n

Assess learners' knowledge, skills and progress using appropriate formative and summative assessment methods.

n

Analyse assessment results to identify learning gaps and implement suitable interventions and support.

n

Differentiate teaching strategies, resources and activities to meet a wide range of learning abilities and additional needs.

n

Establish and maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and achievement.

n

Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive behaviour, respect and a solid learning culture.

n

Provide clear, constructive and timely feedback to learners to support their academic and personal development.

n

Monitor and maintain accurate records of learner progress,



attainment, attendance and achievement.

n

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, colleagues and external professionals to meet learners' needs.

n

Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding learners' progress, development, attendance and wellbeing.

n

Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding, welfare and child protection concerns in accordance with relevant procedures.

n

Support learners' personal, social, emotional and academic development, including preparation for future education, training or employment.

n

Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development and school or educational setting activities.

n

Contribute to the wider development of the educational setting by sharing good practice and supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
