Position Details

Sacred Heart School is a single-stream Catholic Primary School located in the heart of Mundaring with 228 students. Our school is warm and friendly, offering high-quality education and a genuine sense of community to our students and their families. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our school community. The successful applicant will be a passionate educator who is committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student is supported to achieve their full potential. They will demonstrate robust curriculum knowledge, effective classroom practice, and a commitment to fostering the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each child. The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues, while contributing collaboratively to the life and mission of the school, will be essential.

Selection Criteria





- be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
- have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of children.
- offer a differentiated curriculum to cater for children of all abilities and assist all students to achieve their full potential.
- have an awareness of 21st century teaching and learning strategies; implement teaching programs that engage all students
- be an organised staff member who shows initiative, flexibility and displays a positive outlook.
- demonstrate highly competent classroom management skills.
- be accredited to teach Religious Education or be willing to undertake the relevant courses.

Qualifications Required

- a minimum four-year tertiary qualification.
- a current TRBWA and a Working with Children registration.
- Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or working towards).
