About the Role
With a strongcommitment to sustainability, innovation, food and animal safety, and communityengagement, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as General Manager Corporate Affairs.
This is a rare prospect to shape the corporate narrative of a major national business,driving industry, government, regulatory, sustainability, and stakeholderoutcomes across Australia.
Reporting tothe CEO, the role will help the business navigate an increasingly complexenvironment while protecting and enhancing Teys Australia's reputation. Thisrole is based in Brisbane, with some interstate travel required.
Key Responsibilities
In thisstrategic leadership role, you will:
- Drive Teys Australia'scorporate affairs, communications, public affairs, government relations,and sustainability strategies.
- Provide strategic counsel tothe Executive Leadership Team on emerging issues, risks, opportunities,and stakeholder matters.
- Build and maintaininfluential relationships across Federal, State and Local Government,international market access channels, regulatory bodies, industryassociations, customers, and community stakeholders.
- Represent Teys Australia inindustry forums and engage with organisations such as AMIC, AMPC, MLA,government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead media, reputationmanagement,
and crisis communication activities.
- Provide strategic oversightof sustainability initiatives and ensure alignment with businessobjectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Guide Teys' participation inregulatory reviews, policy development, industry research, and marketaccess initiatives.
- Promote continuousimprovement, innovation, and industry leadership across the CorporateAffairs portfolio.
About You
You must have thefollowing experience/skills:
- A bachelor's degree orequivalent tertiary qualification.
- Extensive experience incorporate affairs, government relations, public affairs, communications,policy, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated successbuilding relationships and influencing outcomes at all levels - from siteand operational teams through to senior government, industry and executivestakeholders.
- Strong understanding ofAustralia's regulatory and political landscape, including Federal andState Government, and international market access processes.
- Exceptional communication,negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and media management skills.
- Experience leadingmultidisciplinary teams and driving organisational outcomes throughcollaboration and influence.
- The ability to thinkstrategically while responding effectively to emerging issues and changingbusiness priorities.
Industry knowledge is highly regarded,particularly experience in red meat processing, agribusiness, feedlotoperations, food safety systems, or other highly regulated export environments.
