The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Grants & Governance Officer to join a dynamic CEO Office team. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, you will play an important role in securing funding opportunities, supporting governance activities and helping bring strategic projects to life.
This diverse role combines grant writing, policy development, research, reporting and governance administration, providing the opportunity to contribute to initiatives that deliver lasting benefits for the community. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identifying funding opportunities that support community priorities and future initiatives.
- Preparing high-quality grant submissions that maximise funding outcomes.
- Coordinating grant administration, reporting and compliance activities.
- Supporting the CEO and leadership team with governance, research and strategic projects.
- Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and governance documentation.
- Monitoring legislative requirements and promoting best-practice governance.
- Maintaining accurate records, registers and confidential information.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to progress projects and deliver positive community outcomes.
Your Skills & Experience
- Proven grant writing experience with a track record of securing funding opportunities.
- Strong written communication skills, including policy development, reporting and submission writing.
- Experience supporting governance, compliance or corporate administration functions.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work autonomously.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based in Cairns region, working Monday to Friday.
