About the role

n

MSS Security is seeking a dedicated Control Room Reliever to join the team at the Security Operations Centre in Monash University, working in a technically advanced environment. Supporting multiple Monash sites and a security team of 130 officers, this role goes beyond standard monitoring.

n

We are seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of various CCTV, access control systems and investigation report writing.

n

Duties include but are not limited to:

n

n
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure constant surveillance and early detection of any security risks.
n
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating issues as required.
n
- Collaborate with emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.
n




- Regularly test and maintain security systems to ensure they are fully operational.
n
- Provide clear and concise communication.
n

n

Ideal candidates will have:

n

n
- Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
n
- Excellent communication skills.
n
- Experience in using Milestone CCTV, Inner Range/Infiniti Security System and resolver reporting system would be preferable.
n
- Proven experience working in a security control room and as a security officer.
n

Requirements:

- Full Australian working rights.
n
- Valid Victorian Security Licence with the control room subcategory.
n
- Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
n
- Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain).
n
- Victorian Drivers Licence.
n
- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
n
